Please note that before a person is able to register for a Loyalty Card they will be asked to agree to these Terms. A failure to accept these Terms will result in that person not being able to register for a Loyalty Card.
1.1 The Loyalty Card scheme is operated by the Company and the Loyalty Card itself shall at all times remain the property of the Company.
1.2 The Company reserves the right to refuse any Loyalty Card application or cancel, withdraw or alter the Loyalty Card scheme at any time and for any reason without prior notice to its Members.
1.3 These Terms may be updated from time to time and the Company will notify any changes to its Terms by posting an update to the website www.sjf.co.uk (Website). Any use of the Loyalty Card following any change to the Terms will be deemed acceptance of those Terms.
1.4 The Loyalty Card scheme is only for personal and consumer use. Loyalty Cards cannot be used for any business use.
2. Member Requirements
2.1 All Members must be aged 18 years or over.
2.2 Members are required to provide an email address during the registration process. Only one email address can be registered per Member.
2.3 Members are only entitled to one Loyalty Card each and the Company reserves the right to refuse, merge or close (at the Company’s sole discretion) any additional or duplicated Loyalty Cards at any time.
3. Loyalty Card Registration
3.1 Register your Loyalty Card using our online registration form, please visit the Website.
3.2 It is the Member’s responsibility to notify the Company of any changes to their personal details as soon as possible following the change. Notification of any changes should be made via email to email@example.com.
3.3 Loyalty cards must be registered before accrued points can be redeemed.
4. Loyalty Card use
4.1 Each Member is solely responsible for ensuring that their Loyalty Card is used in accordance with these Terms.
4.2 Loyalty Card points (Points) cannot be transferred between Loyalty Cards and cannot be exchanged for cash.
4.3 Loyalty Cards are only permitted to be used by the registered Member.
4.4 A breach of these Terms by a Member may result in the Company cancelling that Member’s Loyalty Card without notice. Any Points accrued but not yet redeemed will be lost without the Member being entitled to any compensation whatsoever from the Company.
5. How points are accrued
5.1 Members accrue Points at the time of purchase of any of the Company’s products and/or services (excluding gift vouchers, tips and/or service charges, tickets for events including charity events, non-franchise food, function room hire or corkage) at any of the Company’s premises.
5.2 Points are only accrued upon the presentation by the Member of their Loyalty Card at the till in Company premises participating in the scheme. Failure to provide a valid Loyalty Card at the time of the transaction will result in no Points being accrued.
5.3 In circumstances where, having used their Loyalty Card during the initial transaction, a Member is given a refund by the Company, the Member’s Points will be deducted by the appropriate amount.
5.4 Points are accrued at the rate of 1% of the Member’s total spend during any given transaction (e.g. 1 point per every £1.00 spent).
5.5 Whilst Points have no cash value, one Point is equivalent to one pence when being redeemed.
6. How points are redeemed
6.1 Points are capable of being redeemed by a Member during any transaction at any of the Company’s premises provided that the Member presents a valid Loyalty Card at the time of the transaction. Points cannot be redeemed unless the card has been registered.
6.2 Points can be redeemed in full or part payment of any transaction. Where used as part payment, the remaining balance due shall be payable by way of cash or card payment.
6.3 For the avoidance of doubt, Points can only be redeemed once and will be automatically deducted from a Member’s Loyalty Card once redeemed.
7. How to check Points balance
7.1 The balance of a Member’s Loyalty Card Points can be checked at the till point of any of the Company’s premises. During peak times, it may not be possible for the balance to be checked at the Company’s premises.
7.2 Members can also check their balance at any time by visiting the Website.
8. Data Protection
8.1 The Company shall keep secure the personal information each Member provides to it.
8.2 Members’ personal data will be processed in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
8.3 The Company will not share Member’s personal information with any other company.
8.4 Members ticking the “email opt in” box on the registration form will receive emails from the Company about future promotional offers, Company news and updates. Member can opt out of this service at any time by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
9.1 These Terms are between the Company and each Member separately. No other person shall have any rights to enforce any of these Terms, whether under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 or otherwise.
9.2 These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter or formation shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of England and Wales.
9.3 The Company and the Member irrevocably agree that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms or their subject matter or formation.
